Law enforcement officials have once again descended upon the Philadelphia residence formerly owned by the late Raymond "R.C." Horsch. This renewed search aims to uncover further evidence in an ongoing investigation concerning several missing women and a suspected serial killer.
Philadelphia police personnel, alongside federal investigators, were observed at the Chew Avenue property in the Olney section of the city on Monday, executing a new search warrant. Officials indicate that this intensified operation at Horsch's former home will necessitate road closures and extensive excavation work on the premises.
Local police previously convened a community meeting to inform residents that the investigation would involve more disruptive law enforcement activities. Councilmember Anthony Phillips addressed the situation, stating,
"We all came together just to make sure neighbors understood that this is an ongoing investigation, we understand it is disruptive, neighbors and businesses are concerned, so we need to provide support and resources."
Key Discoveries in the Investigation
To date, law enforcement has connected seven missing women to the Olney neighborhood residence. During earlier searches, investigators unearthed a substantial cache of digital media, exceeding one million photos and videos. Authorities currently believe at least five of these women are deceased.
Investigators are actively analyzing the recovered images and videos to ascertain their contents, a task complicated by Horsch's documented history of creating and distributing violent pornography and related publications. Raymond Horsch, who was 82 years old and known for his production of brutally themed adult content, passed away last year.
Origin of the Probe
The broader investigation into the Horsch family property began in June when Raymond's 44-year-old son, Eugene Horsch, was taken into custody. His arrest on charges related to unlawful firearms and forgery ultimately led police to uncover a series of alarming findings at the family's residence.
